----------- Instructions for installing Log-EQF in Windows 3.1 ----------
This procedure assumes you ALREADY ran the Log-EQF "INSTALL" program.
1. Use the Windows "Program Manager" to open the group in which you want
to add Log-EQF.
2. From the "File" menu, choose "New". The "New Program Object" dialog
box appears.
3. Select the "Program Item" option button, and then choose the "OK"
button. The "Program Item Properties" dialog box appears.
4. Select the "Browse..." option button. The "Browse" dialog box appears.
5. Use the "Drives" and "Directories" scroll boxes as necessary to select
the disk drive and directory where Log-EQF was installed.
6. Use the "File Name" scroll box to select the file called "log-eqf.pif".
The "Program Item Properties" dialog box will appear again.
7. Click on the empty "Description:" item, and enter "Log-EQF V8" or any
other description you would like to see displayed beneath the icon.
(Don't hit the <Enter> key yet).
8. Click on the "Working Directory", and enter "C:\LOG-EQF", or the name
of the directory you chose when you installed Log-EQF.
9. Select the "Change Icon..." option button. The "Change Icon" box will
probably report that there are "...no icons available for the specified
file". Select "OK".
10. Select the "Browse..." option button from the "Change Icon" box. The
"Browse" dialog box will appear again.
11. Use the "Drives" and "Directories" scroll boxes as necessary to select
the disk drive and directory where Log-EQF was installed.
12. Use the "File Name" scroll box to select the file called "log-eqf.ico".
The "Change Icon" dialog box will appear again, this time it should
display a "LOG-EQF" icon as the current icon. Select "OK".
13. When the "Program Item Properties" dialog box appears again,
select "OK". The Log-EQF icon should now be available in the open
group under Windows.
